Beethoven aka "Napoleon"
30lb Australian shepherd-Chihuahua mix adopted from Goioere, Parana, Brasil.
After the passing of his owner in Brazil, he was left starving and with injured legs. He had almost no chance to survive there. We heard about him from friends, we adopted him and flew him to the U.S.
Where he now "rules the roost".
Pappa aka "Old Sleepy"
50lb--Boxer-Chow Chow-Shih Tzu mix adopted from East Harlem, NY
Could barely see, walk or hear. Tossed aside by his previous owner, Pappa was at death’s door until we took him in and brought him back to health.
Now he is climbing stairs, jumping up on the couch, and performing his patrols.
(but he does still love to sleep.)
Olivia aka "Demon Face"
85lb--American Staffordshire Terrier adopted from East Harlem, NY
Abandoned on the streets of Harlem, she was picked up by police and held by animal control until we found out about her.
Intimidating in size and musculature, she appears terrifying…
...until you find that she’s very calm, docile and as sweet as you could ever want a dog to be.
Phoebe aka "Crazy Eyes"
45lb--American Staffordshire Terrier-Boxer-Chow Chow-Russel terrier mix adopted from Salem, NH
Most of her early life was spent surviving in five east-coast shelters, starting with one in Florida. We finally found her in a New Hampshire shelter and adopted her.
She’s quiet and easy-going until some strange dog decides to mess with her. Phoebe calmly turns another dog’s aggressiveness against itself without harming it…kind of like watching a dog performing judo.
Bella aka "Noodle"
25lb--Beagle-Scottie-Westie-Shih Tzu mix adopted from Nashua, NH
